Back in 2012, a few Active Camper enthusiasts organised a small gathering of Active Camper owners at a Mudgee property in New South Wales. This get-together, now formally known as the Active Camperout attracted approximately 30 Active Campers, most of which were the Optima camper (flat roof). Fast forward to 2019, and that year drew around 70 campers – a beautiful sight for sore eyes. Over the years, the Camperout has been held at Mudgee, Sandy Hollow, Nymboida (on three occasions), Braidwood, Kandos and Wyangala Dam.
The focus for each Camperout varies on the needs of our customers and has centred around aspects such as cooking, packing tips, 4WD training, camper destinations, campervan servicing and maintenance, like-minded customer hobbies and crafts to name a few.
Additionally, there are now mini Camperouts which take place nationally as well as a female only events.
